 "Heh-pchttffft!"  The sound of a rousing sneeze was heard, as a hand reached out for another tissue, from under the blankets where she lay, as Liil blew her nose loudly.

 

"Stay out for drinks" they said..." She sniffled, as she blew her nose again, as she groaned.  "...'it won't raiiin, we promise!' they said.  Should have known that it would suddenly rain out of nowhere..Heh-pchttffft!".  Lili sneezed again, as she reached for another tissue, groaning as her phone buzzed on the bedside table where it sat.  "Nooo...." She moaned softly, as she pulled the blankets over her face, trying to block out the light.  "...noooo....I don't wanna answer!".

With a laugh, "You did. What better way to brighten your day with some homemade cookies." Okay, he feel bad that it's the squeeze the dough onto the pan kind, but those actually do taste good once it's back.

The kitchen becomes warm with Abel's cooking, but he puts a lot of his energy and thought to make good food for his sick girlfriend.

"You can come here and join me if you want. I also have another surprise for you."

Yawning, and making an adorable squeaking noise as she stretched, she shuffled into the kitchen, as she smiled at him. "What smells so good?" She smiled, trying to look like she hadn't just rolled out of the bed.

"It's a bowl of chicken soup and baked cookies, made fresh by me. Just for you."

As soon she stepped into the kitchen, he kept true to his words. He caught her by surprise by pressing a kiss on her forehead.

"Come sit by the table."

"You flatter me!" Lili commented, blushing hotly as he kissed her forehead. "...I don't want you to get sick, just because I'm in here in the kitchen with you!".

"I assure you, I promise I won't. Don't be silly, my dear love. Now please have a seat and let's eat. I made this all for you, so please enjoy this."

And he placed the bowl of hot soup and a plate of freshly baked cookies together on the same table.

"You made this all for me?" Lili commented, smiling at him sweetly, as she turned away to sneeze on her elbow. "...I have a handsome devil of a boyfriend and a chef all rolled into one? What did I do to deserve you, my love?".

"I did. Now please, eat before you will be skin and bones, and then I'll have a skeleton of a girlfriend...like that character in that movie we watched the other night...what's it called? I believe it's the Nightmare before Christmas."

At her question, "What did you do to deserve me? Well..."

He leaned over to kiss her gently on the lips and whispered. "Your patience and kindness, my love is what won me over. But it's more than that." He smiled. "Because I'm in love with you."

Lili moaned softly as he kisses her, as she places a hand on his thigh if she hasn't done so already. "I'm glad you're mine." Lili smiled, reaching for a spoon. "...it tastes great, Abel!".

"I'm glad. I want the food to be delicious for you. It took me a while to learn." As long his girlfriend is happy and full, that's fine for him.

He took her hand to squeeze affectionately. "Now eat it all up, and it's back to bed for you to rest."

Lili nodded, as she started to eat, while a mischevious glint soon was seen in her eyes.

"Oh...and is that doctor's orders?" She smirked at him mischievously, as she wiggled her eyebrows at him. "...and if I refuse his orders? What oh what would you do then?".
